Mandatory 4 Hours of Transition Training Now Available Online

CONSOLIDATION TRANSITION TRAINING
On December 18, 2019, Governor J.B. Pritzker signed SB 1300, making it Public Act 101-0610. This act will consolidate all Article 3 and 4 pension fund’s investment assets. Under Public Act 101-0610, current pension trustees are now required to obtain 4-hours of consolidation transition training. IPPFA is now offering this training online with the cooperation of the Brookfield Fire Pension Fund and Northern Illinois University.

The IPPFA was founded in 1985 as a not-for-profit organization whose mandate was to educate public pension fund trustees. In 2009 the IPPFA became the primary education provider for public pension fund trustees in the state of Illinois. Our members manage over eighteen billion dollars in pension assets.
